Let’s not get tired of doing good, because in time, we’ll have a harvest if we don’t give up. So then, let’s work for the good of all whenever we have the opportunity, and especially for those in the household of faith. Galatians 6:9–10
Devotion
In a world that often prioritizes quick results and instant gratification, we may find ourselves weary from the continuous effort to do good. Life’s challenges and the weight of our responsibilities can make it seem like our hard work goes unnoticed. However, Galatians 6:9-10 encourages us to persevere, reminding us that the impact of our good deeds is far-reaching and enduring.
The Apostle Paul wrote this passage to remind the early Christians that their labor for the Lord is not in vain. Just as a farmer tirelessly sows seeds, we too must be diligent in our actions and choices. While the harvest may not come immediately, our faithfulness will bear fruit in God’s perfect timing.
Every act of kindness, every moment spent helping others, contributes to a greater purpose. We are called to actively seek opportunities to uplift and support those around us, especially our fellow believers. When we choose to focus on doing good, even in small ways, we participate in God’s work and reflect His love to the world.
Remember, it is often in our darkest moments of doubt and weariness that the greatest breakthroughs occur. Trust that God sees your efforts, and take heart in the promise of a future harvest.
Prayer
Dear Lord, thank You for the promise that our efforts in doing good will yield a harvest in Your timing. Strengthen our spirit when we feel weary and remind us to look for opportunities to bless others. Help us to stay committed to doing good, knowing that every small act counts in Your kingdom. Amen.
