The Commission on a Way Forward was proposed by the Council of Bishops and approved by the 2016 General Conference to do a complete examination and possible revision of every paragraph of the Book of Discipline concerning human sexuality and explore options that help to maintain and strengthen the unity of the church. The Commission on a Way Forward has fleshed out the details of three possible models for how the denomination treats LGBTQ inclusion.
Join us for two upcoming opportunities at Community UMC to learn about these three models and their impact on our local church: November 11 and November 18 at 12:15pm. Each luncheon will last approximately and 1 1/2 hours and a light lunch will be provided. Childcare may be able to be arranged, if needed.
