Stirring Up Hope

Out of compassion and creativity, Stirring Up Hope was born—a Community UMC initiative responding to the growing number of neighbors experiencing food insecurity. With recent government shutdowns, SNAP benefit reductions, and rising grocery costs, more families are struggling to put warm, home-cooked meals on the table.

Inspired by a simple TikTok video by Dollar Tree Dinners (@dollartreedinners) and a deep desire to help, Stirring Up Hope offers a low-barrier way for families to create a comforting meal at home. Each kit includes shelf-stable ingredients and an easy-to-follow recipe card, providing both nourishment and dignity to anyone in need.

Every dollar makes a difference—your gift helps us stir up hope and share the warmth of a home-cooked meal with our neighbors.

Thank you for your generosity and support as we nourish both body and spirit throughout our community.
