In the Beginning
On Sept. 23, 1973, the first worship service of what would become Community UMC was held in the parsonage because there was literally no church building in which to meet. On Nov. 4, 1973, a Constituting Conference was held which formally created our church. The pastor was the Rev. L. Patrick Ricker, and worship services were held in the parsonage before moving to Crofton Elementary School in 1974.
