Prayer Guide for Annual Conference

“I pray they will be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. I pray that they also will be in us, so that the world will believe that you sent me.” John 17:21

Holy Conferencing is a spiritual discipline, a sacred act. Next week, more than 1,700 United Methodists will gather in Baltimore for the 235th Annual Session of the Baltimore-Washington Conference. It is our hope that you, and every member of our congregation, will lift all of these people, and those their actions will affect, in fervent prayer.

The church is living through a turbulent time of change. We invite you to call upon the Holy Spirit to be present with God’s church as we seek to live as Christ would have us live. Please pray for Lay Member to Annual Conference Bryan Deehring, Charlie Moore, and Pastor Stan Cardwell, who will meet in holy conferencing from May 29 through June 1. Pray for wisdom, for courage, for God’s will to be done.

On Tuesday May 28, we will be hosting a prayer vigil in the Sanctuary at 7 PM. Please join us for this time of worship and prayer.

If you are unable to join us for the prayer vigil in person, you can join us in prayer from home using the electronic version of the prayer guide and devotions, available to download at the link below.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our Lay Leader, Vicki Duane, at vsduane@gmail.com or 410-507-6746.
