Welcome to Community United Methodist Child Development Center (CUMCDC), a faith-based preschool and childcare center working to embrace the needs of the Crofton community. We are a long-term ministry of Community United Methodist Church, which provides children with a safe, nurturing and enriching Christian environment with a low student to teacher ratio.

Each child is free to learn, explore, create, develop problem-solving skills, and share with others. A wide range of hands-on, developmentally-appropriate activities and meaningful experiences are provided for the children so they may construct their own knowledge about themselves, their families, and the world around them.

Our loving, positive atmosphere celebrates diversity and understanding and creates a sense of belonging, safety and warmth. The Child Development Center has been enriching children’s lives socially, emotionally, academically and spiritually in Crofton since 1980.
