POLICY STATEMENT for use of building facilities

1. Availability

Previously scheduled church functions have priority. Uncommitted time remaining will be scheduled on a first come basis.

2. Applications:

Requests preferably should be made to the church office at least 30 days prior to the requested date of use. Written applications will then be presented for approval, and you will be notified as soon as possible.

3. Contribution:

Profit Making Organizations are charged as follows:

The Fellowship Hall and Educational Rooms are a flat rate of $120 for each hour of use.

Non Profit Organizations are requested to make a donation to the church. For on-going non-profit groups meeting here, we request that you make a regular donation to the church to help offset our cleaning and utility costs. A check made out to CUMC may be placed in an envelope and left in our drop box outside the church office.

Individual Non Church Members: A security deposit of $250 will be required for the use of the Fellowship Hall plus a $150 security deposit for use of the kitchen. Security deposits are refundable or will be applied to the total cost of the rental.

Hall only $ 50.00 an hour

Hall and Kitchen $100.00 an hour

Individual Church Members: Please make a donation to offset our cleaning and utility bills.

Audio/Visual requirements will be run by our trained A/V technicians. A request form may be completed at least a month ahead on our website: There may be an additional charge according to your needs.


•No smoking in the building – strictly observed. We have placed butt cans outside and request that you use them to help keep our grounds clean.

•Alcoholic beverages may not be served or brought on the premises.

•Storage or damage to the property must be assumed by the persons submitting the request for use of the church facilities.

•All trash generated must be bagged and taken to the dumpster in the back parking lot.

•Children/youth should not disturb toys and belongings of the Child Development Center.

•Since babysitting is not provided, children not directly involved in the activity for which the building was requested, must be supervised by the children’s parents or guardians.

•Please do not play the electric piano or disturb the sound or lighting equipment.

•Classrooms are nut-free at all times.

5.Our Expectations of You:

•That you will pick up a key at the church office on the weekday before you use the building.

•That you will use only that area you requested.

•That you will leave the area as you found it when you entered, including removal of all used trash bags.

•That you will turn off all lights and make sure all doors are locked.

•If you are using the building on a one-time basis, please return the key to the church office the first working day after the building is used.

•If you are using the building on an on-going basis, you will need to notify the church office immediately upon termination of such use and return the key to the church office.

8: Fundraisers:

•Only Church organizations or Church chartered/sanctioned organizations (i.e.) Boy Scout Troop 115, Girl Scouts) may hold or publicize a fundraiser. Only one fundraiser shall be scheduled at any time on the Church Property. Exceptions must be requested of the Administrative Council through the Trustees and Mission Team.

•Dates are checked by the Church office staff, and then approved by the Mission Team appointee.

•Date changes must be approved by the Office staff and Mission Team appointee.

•Fundraising activity must not disrupt other activities taking place at the same time.

•The fundraising group is responsible for all set-up and clean-up
